Scammer alert

Watch out for this guy: goes by William.
Williampttss@gmail.com.
Uses cash app tag: $momsjournee523
He sent me an email saying he was Shooter08 and had the cue I wanted.
Unbeknownst to him, I know shooter, so I tt Mike right away and he assured me this clown is a scammer!!
He's waiting for me to send him money as I type this. Beware!!!
Ya gonna play with him a while maybe waste his time, get his hopes up for an easy score?

how can you get scammed by someone who calls you and you dont know them and didnt talk to them in person.
and vetted their address and who they are?

if a person does then they are a complete sucker and there is no hope for them.

These guys are smart. Did their homework. I know shooter, so when I got the email from him (wasn't him) I responded in kind. Impersonating an established member is one of the ways these scam artists get you to relax.
Thank goodness I checked my info B4 sending the money. This guy was in too big a hurry and shooter isn't like that. Red flags went off. Didn't pass the smell test.
Contacted admin for advice and Violã!!
Mike confirmed what I suspected.
This guy even sent one last email about payment several hours after I posted the scammer alert. They obviously monitor the site. Makes me wonder if they're several time zones away.

thats why you talk in person to whomever you are making any deal with. we all have a phone.
and with their number you can find out what you want from google.

I have found that most scammers on the internet will refuse to provide verifiable phone numbers and will refuse to discuss their for sale items via phone. To me, that is an immediate end to my interest in their “cue” for sale.
I will not buy off sites like Facebook unless I am 100% sure that the person is legit - that requires quite a bit of research up front on the seller for verification.

Really good idea. Especially for those of us unfamiliar with dealing with liars and thieves. It's just a shame it's gotten as bad as it has. Life in the big city I guess.
The real world. Lol.
Another good way I've heard is to have someone broker the deal for you. An experienced member who knows the ins and outs of these transactions can be a huge asset.

A lot of scammers these days
I played along with a scammer on Facebook one time mainly because I wanted to know what the scam was.
Started out as a so-called female American soldier on the Syrian border holding millions in cash.
Anyway as soon as I figured out the scam I asked her/it if she knew the red patch on her uniform was Hydra the evil from Marvel

When they type in broken English its pretty easy to detect a scammer

I've been contacted by scammers (from AZ) probably five times in the past year or two. It's normally pretty obvious but I always have my guard up for one that's not-so-obvious. I always assume scam until I have reason to believe otherwise.

That's smart, but a dirty damn shame we have to approach from a place like that.
