"fades in, fades out"
I have read here, and on other boards, about products from Schmelke USA. I have yet to come across anything derogatory about how their cues play the quality of materials or workmanship. As far as I can discern they appear to be the # 3 production cue house in the U.S.A. What puzzles me is how they keep their price point so far below the # 1&2 production houses. You can purchase one of Schmelke’s mid- priced cues (full splice with inlays), a soft case, extra tips and a 12 pack of chalk, with shipping for the same money as you will spend on the lowest priced, no frills U.S. made cue from the other two producers. Is it the size of the operation? Low overhead cost? What’s the secret?
