Schmelke sneaky petes

They told me the cue is a true full splice. Anybody ever shoot with one? If so, what was the hit like?

Would you recommend this cue?

Thanks.

Best hustler cue for the money available anywhere. If you're looking for a good quality sleeper for a GREAT price, it's the one to go with. You get a few choices of exotics in the butt, too.

I forgot to mention that they told me their full splice butt blanks are used by quite a few custom cue makers. Sounds interesting.

I use them. Really nice quality. Stick a radial in them, do a nice joint ring and away you go. Their cocobolo and birdseye maple splices are awesome. They'll do custom splices too, if they have the species of wood in stock and dried.

The one I bought looked fabulous, I did not like the ferrule, or the CNC machine marks in it, I had to do some work to finish and smooth the soft plastic like ferrule, but the cue played great, I would like to see a better finish on the ferrule, and slightly less spine on the taper but overall for the money they are good quality.

I bought one directly from Schmelke, cocobolo sneaky pete, 19 ounces, 13 mm tip.

The shaft is really white, the cocobolo is gorgeous. The ferrule is perfect. The points are some of the tightest I've ever seen, basically perfect. The butt is partially cored, probably to move the balance point a bit forward. I love the hit. Put my OB-1 on it, plays great.

Although I may have paid a few dollars extra, I think speaking with the fellow there who went back to pick out a butt that would match my request was an added bonus. Price delivered by UPS was just $107. What a deal. The cue looks great, and the hit is just right. They sure aim to please, and please me they have.

I've got a cocobolo schmelke sp, 19.5 oz with 13mm. It is my wife's main playing cue for our home table, but I play with it from time to time. We both really like it.

I hate to ask a sacreligious question, but is there that much difference between the hit of one of these and the hit of a custom sneaky?

Oh- I also have a schmelke one piece house cue (with bocote butt) on the way from billiardwarehouse bc I needed one more house cue.

I have a cuemaker friend who uses their splices. He like them... Is he a "custom" cuemaker? I sure think so.

Our shop just got some Schmelke(?) cues in. They are sweet looking. Especially the sneaky petes. That is probably going to be the next cue I get. I do think they are cheap to so that's nice. I haven't shot with one yet.

For those who have shot with it would you compare it to say a Players SP or a Nick Varner SP or even a Meucci SP (Original or Red Dot)?

The Sneaky I had, I liked it better than a Meucci Sneaky. Never tried a Nick Varner, but I can say the Schmelke to me is superior and far better looking than a players sneaky.
