Why, R U the guy that's been stealing them ?

I'm just joking...........

I'll look around for some but I am pretty sure I don't have any extras. You are just gonna have to buy a new set... I do have them..

OR do you mean extra CB's because Putnam has been known to shatter CB's with his break ?

cue balls....

I think he was refering to Larry Nevel moreso than the Love Sponge.

I watched an interview recently that discussed how Putnam and Nevel were both cracking cueballs. Since you furnish the tournament balls, you may want to bring a few extra CBs. Just a thought.

This is the interview: http://youtube.com/watch?v=ajqVPu7zYKI

Good luck with the tournament.....wish I could be there.

What???

Seriously, thes guys are cracking cueballs ? Damn impressive if true... Any pics of said cueballs por favor?

I wonder what the speed of your break must reach to break a cue ball? 25mph? 27mph?

Must have been that Pakistanian batch of cue balls... I don't think I could break one with a hammer! I'm weak.. :(

These guys drive me NUTS with the breaking of CB's.

Over the years Putnam has broken more that his fair share. Nevel is kind of new at it.

I think I am going to start to have those guys post a bond for CB use at my events.

Ahh, what the heck. Lets have a contest between Putnam and Nevel this weekend to see who can break a CB 1st.

Any bets ?

I'll bet they don't do it with a leather tip. I've broke a few myself...more to do with the cue/ferrule/tip than my horsepower. The phenolic & G10 tips crack the cueball slightly on each break...this you know Mike. Then it only takes a powerful break with the same phen/G10 hit on a certain weakened spot & presto!!! I was showing off one of my j/b's to the mgr of a home/rec retail store. They had an odd bunch of cheap looking balls on the table...with no cueball. He racked 9ball then rolled me the 6ball to use as a cueball....first break that thing exploded like it had been hit by a .38 special. It took a chunk out of the side of the ball....looked as if it had big piece bitten out of the ball about the size of a quarter. Of course closer inspection showed it was a VERY cheap ball as the green finish was not very thick and the inside of the ball was white and looked like plaster. At the time it was still impressive for those watching...and of course everyone placed an order...LOL!!!:D

Just a reminder that we will also be having an Amateur Only event along with the Pro Omen Warm-Up event at Burrkats + an incentive to help spread the word about the events.

AMATEURS ONLY $500 Added on June 8th in Charlotte, NC Area at Burrkats Billiards

Bring a new Player with you !

If we get 64 or more paid players for this Amateur event the Viking Tour will add another $500.

This is your incentive to help us help you and all the players, room owners and the sponsors.

Thanks, Mj

The Super aramith pro's that we use on the Viking Tour have the Pro Cup CB with the 6 red dots (Measels Ball). They retail for $41.95 at PoolDawg.com http://www.pooldawg.com/product/aramith-pro-cup-6-red-dot-tv-measles-cue-ball?source=trafficleader .

You are going to have to raise your bid if you want the trophy ball.

If either player does it I will have them sign and date the ball (pieces of ball?).

Are you on a budget or something?

Surely a prize such as this is worth considerably more.

Whatever the highest bid is I will offer to the player that completes the task 1st.

PS... what are we considering the terms as being broken are ? Would a significant dent do or cracking of the ball ?

And, what are we considering the terms of a $ are? US$ only?:D

Edit- oh yes, I am on a budget. It is called 2 kids in 4 years!!

Really though, I will defer to both definitions as determined by you, MJ. But IMO, it should be something that renders the ball unplayable...I already have what could be called little cracks (or veins:) )on my balls.

Nobody pays retail anymore, why should you?

Mikey j don't pay retail for anything but Harley parts( maybe) and he just wrecked that so he's trying to get paid some cash.

PS I'll see if he has a hammer in his front seat this weekend at Burrkats

Leonard you got it all wrong. I am donating the cb. As an incentive I a offering a reward equal to whatever the highest bid for the broken cb is. The plaer gets the cash and the highest bid gets the broken cb.

Also. I get my Harley parts from. Chicago HD online at a 20% discount with No tax for Uncle Sam. Its the cheapest place.

see'ya at the event.
