Schon cues?

Hello I'm thinking about looking into finding a used Schon Elite cue and have three questions I'd like help with please. First I noticed that Schon cues have a couple different lines of cues. Is one a production line of cues such as McDermott then the Ltd, Elites, and Uniques custom cues? Secondly, is there any sites where I can veiw past made Schon cues (Ltd and Elites). Finally can a customer contact Schon directly in regards to getting a cue made? Thanks for the help everyone! Nathan
 
Schon Cues

I guess I could answer a couple of your questions, as my playing cues is a Schon Elite. I'll do my best here, if I am incorrect on any of this please feel free to help out anyone. They have 2 regular lines of cues: CX series, STL series. These cues are available for purchase all the time. Then I think it goes like this: LTD series(made in groups of 12), Elite series(made in groups of 8), SP series(not sure how many SP=special), then the almighty Unique(one of a kind). All of these cues are available whenever they are available. I believe LTD's can be found quite regularly. I don't believe they have a website that you can view all the past cues, as there are far too many, but I do know that u can get your cue identified for model # and stuff like that from the Schon website(google). And yes Schon can be contacted through their website. Hope this helps....

Thanks for the help! Any idea then what I can look to be spending for a used Schon Elite are they all around the same price or is there a big range? Any ideas as to where is a good spot to search them out?
 
Check out KOINNKID here on the forum. He sells on ebay, and has several elites in stock. Troy is a great guy to deal with!

I got mine in Las Vegas during BCA/VNEA a few years back. A Schon dealer will be there as usual. He was there last year and had quite a few nice ones. The Elites started around 1250.00 the nicer ones around 1800.00 and even higher if they have hand made points (like mine). If you plan on going there to get one, I recomend you get there early as he sold all the nice ones pretty quick.

Schon STL is a collection of 21 cues which are the classic favorites from all our years of cuemaking, a combination of the R series, the SP series, the SL series and the ST series.

Schon CX is a collection of cues made exclusively for Cuestix International and may only be purchased through a Cuestix dealer.

Schon SP are special cues which are not made on a regular basis. There is no set number and no naming system. The edition could be 1 or 2 cues or 30 cues.

Schon LTD cues are special editions made in small lots of 12 cues or less, one time only.

Schon Elite are cues which are made in an edition of no more than 7 cues, one time only.

Schon Unique are one of a kind cues.

sometimes, they make each elite cue with different wood.. so techinally there could be 8 cues of the same design.. all different....

also.. check out www.schoncues.com , that is their website.. and just to let you know.. you can get big time deals from resellers..

Thanks for all the help everyone. Chris when you say great deals on resales what do you mean by that? Cues bought on Schon's web site then resold, where would I look for these?
 
I got my schons and other "stuff" from Seyberts. They're 25% off retail (most other sites are 20%) and they throw in enough "Seyberts bucks" to make my 2nd day air shipping free. You can also call them and have your model cue customized (different wrap, shafts, tips, stains etc) to your liking. They deal with Schon directly and quickly.
Also, excellent customer service!

Ordering a Custom...

I would not recommend trying to order one from Evan. I waited for over a year and never got a cue. I finally cancelled after numerous excuses.

what i mean by great deals from resellers.. people that sell them.. other then schon and most pool halls..

I play with a Schon Unique cue, Evan with Schon told me that he made 12 of the cue I use. I am not sure if that is standard.
