Hello, I have a schon I want to sell but dont much about these cues.
Before I post it I would like to know what model it is and any help with
information is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
After our conversation last Sunday, I went online to get more info about Schon cues. I am thinking it may be a 85-90 Runde era ST1. Apparently the stitched ring around the joint collar was standard until 85. The wood seems to be either Brazilian rosewood or macassar ebony.
Beautiful cue and even a better hitting one. Too bad I don't have the dough for it
Joe,
It looks like a 93 model because they only used that kind of pin for 1 year I think. And it should be one of the first couple in that series since it doesn't have points. I would think that with the predator shaft and the leather wrap it would be in the $400/$550 range.
Did some looking on the shoan website and in my blue book. As far as I can tell this cue is a mid 90's STL 1 ebony. value is probably somewhere between 300 and 500 but in this market who knows. I know there were some of these made from maple(most of them) but a few in ebony. There is a brand new one in the rack at my local pool hall and they are asking like 750 so if that gives you any idea.
Hope I helped
John
edit: Looking closer at the pics looks to be rosewood not ebony so I may be WAY off my initial assuption. Also add a little(like 50 to 100) for the leather wrap and pred shaft.
