Schon Jump/Break?

I don't know...maybe Schon is building them. A $900 J/B cue is a tough sale, though. I would like to see close-up pix of that jump joint...it looks almost like a dowel/tenon at the A joint.
Joe

They gotta be legit, the guy has like 10 of them up on e-bay. Somebody would have to be deranged to cut up a bunch of new Schons like that! lol

Seen them on here twice before,....but 9 bills? C,mon I would pay that for Evan himself. If your gonna rob me, at least use a gun or something sharp.......
To the a seller: Just at what point did you become diagnosed as insane?
Usually I don't say anything that I am not directly involved in, and I most certainly believe in free trade and capatalism, but lately some folk are just sitting down smoking (insert drug of choice) and pricing their items.
I don't care who made it, how many shafts, dead or just retired. It's only worth what the market bares or more realalisticly what some one will pay. If you gotta keep bumping or trading with same persons with the same item, you just might be a little high, in more ways than one. Ok the soap box is put away. I guess I needed to vent after seeing a $900 j/b cue.

I agree it looks like the cue came unglued and the guy unscrewed the bolt that holds the forearm and the butt together. I wanna see a pic of the entire cue unscrewed!

Reading the listing it seems to me that the seller ordered a number of these from Schon..I would think that if you tried to order 1 from Schon they may say no but if you were willing to buy lets say 10 they would probably do it...If you look at some pics of the others he has listed it looks like a wood piloted joint...

I owned a Schon j/b and it did not have a joint like that.I don't know if the new ones are different. It was Ok for a break, Jumped good, but is no match for my Mobley Brumhandle J/B.

Wow. I love Schon cues, and they are priced fairly reasonably imo, but that price is too high.

I'm sure the seller will make close to double his money if he sells all his stock at that price but with so many good j/b's in the $300-$400 range, plus some nice customs for a bit more, I just don't see how he'll move many of these.

I agree these are way over priced. If they were between $300-$450 I'd already have one.:smile:I think this guy on eBay just had many made to try to control his price point. But if I'm not mis-taken didn't someone else a few months back offer these?Big John or something like that.He to was trying to sell several Schon's on ebay

Don't get me wrong...I don't know that they are actually "over-priced" based on the retail prices of Schon cues, but a $900 J/B cue is a tough sell.

On the Schon website, Evan posted pix of 3 different models, with the one shown on Ebay here as the fanciest (and highest priced, I am sure). Maybe some of the others are more economically priced.

An affordable Schon J/B cue would make a lot of folks happy.

Joe
