Taking offers for a Schon R-12.The cue was refinished and had a leather wrap put on in march by Jimmy Reeves of Reeves Custom Cues and since it has only been test hit.The cue looks great ,,,the only area of the cue not refinished was the buttcap,,all else is mint. The cue weighs 18.6 oz and has a 13mm hard moori tip.It is probably from the late 80s,has rounded points and 3 silver rings.PM me with questions or offers,,trades may be considered but would rather sell, thanks

i always thought the same too but i had a few people identify it for me and they said it was an r-12.i thought is was an s series s-13 maybe ,,,the r had the stitch rings were this one is solid,,

thanks ,,ill do that ,,i also sent a pic to evan to be sure what it is before i get rid of it ,,

It is NOT a S SERIES if it were it would have redish brown collars stiched rings and would have been made in 1981 THE FIRST YEAR OF SCHON spliced points I have a S6+S9 R6 R7 R8 R12 R14 all with stiched rings 1981-1985 I know schon This is a cnc'd cue the reason RUNDE sold his shop to Evan Clark! Ron

Go to palmer collector.com click on schon you will see also check out proficent billiards schon thats my R6 you will see your r12 but it dont say r12 Ron

if you look in the sp link doesnt it look like the r-12 there has solid rings ,,hard for me too see though,,,what do you think it is?

It is an R-12 but from the the early 90's when Evan Clarke copied the Bob Runde design. I had an R-15 around the same time with the dull points and it played so well that I regret getting rid of it. Great cue, good luck with your sale.

thanks att ,,,thats what hersheybarbill just told me ,,,r-12 from around 1990,,,,i didnt mean to upset rigmaster so much lol,,

schon cue price ?

I used to have a R 12, and pretty much gave it away to a friend. I still have the R-8, with the sharp points and the ivory inlays. I had the cue refinished and replaced the micarta ferrules with the ivorine 3 ferrules. Does anyone have an idea what this cue would be worth ? ( 2-shafts )Thanks, ...Duke...

Guess I was wrong SORRY I thought R series stopped 87-88 and all had sharp points I bet it shoots good as all schons do! Good luck on the sale Ron

would be willing to trade cue for a used small lathe ,,just for doing shafts ,,tips if anyone is interested

R8, the dice cue right? If you post a couple pics here, I'll give you my $.02 on value.

Yes it is the dice cue and I have had it from the early 80's when I would go to Wisconsin and compete in the NPBT,I think that's the name of the tournaments they would run every March at that time. I bought the R-12 right there in Milwaukee. Runde (? )was there at the tournament and sold it to me there. Then my friend called ( Runde ) the next day and ordered the R-8. He then at a later date , came to my shop and traded on another cue. I will try to post some pictures in the next day or so...duker
