Schon Shaft Question

I've noticed that some Schon shafts have the word Schon stamped on the black ring right above the joint.
Is this an older version shaft? When did they stop making these?

It is my understanding, that prior to the current marking, they stamped Scone 13 in the shaft collar. I heard that they quit doing it that way because people were reusing the collar on non- Schon shafts. I think there was a one or two year period in-between, around 1990, when they didn't stamp anything on the shaft. Some of those older Schon shafts were made from very high quality shaft wood.

I don't know about now but my shafts all have Schon stamped on them and the grain is excellent.

I forgot to mention mine are from the early mid 90's

I was told that recently Schon has some of the best shaft wood ever. I've had more than a few Schons and you just never get a clunker!

if your talking about the gold schon 13 stamp thats a 1993 shaft I believe. Only one year had that stamp. Before that year no markings, after that year stamped in the shaft above the collar.
