Schon SL vs SP

I was curious if anybody had both and could share their opinions. I just picked up an SP-30, seller thought it was an sl10, as did I till I looked a little closer. I know the SP's are still Runde era, just looking for some opinions.
I have a Runde and I've had 4 Schons in the past. Also, I'm assuming the SP's bring alittle more $$, correct?

To me there is two kinds of Schons.

Schons with a sharp point veneers. (Desirable and I want)

Schons with rounded CNC veneers. (Non desirable)

Fair enough. One should note that pre 93's are not cored, which I think may contribute to the wonderful playability.

To be honest, I'm am/was in the same mind set you are. To me CNC'd Schons are nothing more than inlayed plain janes. Of the 4 Schons I've owned, the 93 sl4 I found at a pawn shop was the best playing, while my old R10 was the best looking.

I liked the look of the SL-9. My favorite of that series.

But if you are buying something desirable the R series is the way to go.

S's and R's are the way to go. I have not had enough experience with cnc'd runde era schons to know how the market views them. I do believe they are regarded higher than the present day schons by more than a few.

The only thing I like better than my R10 is money...LOL

LOL Relax guys, as bad as this market is, nobody would come off the amount it would take to own it. It looks like it will be a keeper one way or the other. It does play jam up.
