Word on this cue is that it is one of 6 (in the red veneer) Couldnt get Evan to give a clear answer on that.
Cue Specs:
Weight 19.5ish, regular Schon ferrule with Moori medium tip. Shaft is 13mm and played lightly.
Ebony cue with 6 ebony points single red veneer short spliced. Sharp ivory diamonds inlaid in points. Silver railroad track rings at c,d, and e.
All points are EVEN.
Cue is in excellent condition, would rate at 90%-95% only because it has been played.

Sp?

So, I don't get it. I don't want to hijack this thread at all. I like good SP's. I have "several" by some very nice makers. I even make some myself. And I don't want to get hung up on verbage. But what on this earth makes this very nice cue a "SP". Someone please clue me in.

Evan has created a few different levels of their cues
Catalog cues (which is currently the stl and cx line etc)
LTD or limited (12 or less of an exact design)
SP or Special Edition (could be 1 cue could be 20 he doesnt number or keep track)
Elite (6 or less)
and Unique which are 1 of 1's
This is an SP with short spliced points, I emailed Evan to get further info, all he would provide was the year.
Not to be confused with sp=sneaky pete...... :D

Its not a sneaky pete...

schon has some different model lines...
like CX ST STL SP LTD ELITE UNIQUE

its just their model designation.. nothing to do with sneaky pete..

hope that helps..

these are super nice cues...

i had one of them recently with the orange veneers and they are really sharp looking cues and are contsructed very nicely for a production/custom cue...the ivory inlays are sharp and the detailed ringwork is a nice touch...

sp---special production or short production or spliced points?

Chuck is one of the good guys to do business with too!

SP's

Thanks guys, for explaining that! I love to learn something new. That cue sure didn't look to sneaky!
