Looking to get a new cue. Have it narrowed down to the Bob Meucci Pro 3 and the Schon STL-5. I have played with a Meucci 97-15 for a couple years. Now I've been playing with Schon R-7 new version for about 3 months.. Too totally different hits. Like both, One soft and one stiff. My question is which would you buy and why. Thanks , Michael

I have had several Schon's in the past. Never an issue with any of them. Nice firm hit. Just my 2 cents.

ihad a meucci around 1990-91. got a schon about 92. sold meucci shortly thereafter(actually decided to the very night I got the schon!). kept schon(R6) twentysome years until it was stolen.
looked for a replacement schon ever since losing the other(and happily found a fine one!). NEVER, EVER considered getting another meucci. the schon line TO ME is head and shoulders more desirable.
gotta say this: there are many people who shoot ALL THE LIGHTS OUT with their meucci's. I've got joss's, Carolina cues',a fine josey, a schon, titlist, another Brunswick, mali, unknown sneakey pete, and others. lots of fine cues. got to say josey, joss, CC, titlist all hit great. schon just takes the cake.

CLIFF NOTES VERSION: GET A SCHON.

By all means get the Schon. You'll thank me later, especially if you learn to play One Pocket with it.

Schon

I have had numerous Schon and Meucci cues over the years. The obvious choice for me is a Schon. I tinker with Meucci's, buying and selling the older ones when the quality was more consistent but would always play, collect and keep a Schon. I have 1 Meucci left but 4 Schon cues at this time. The Schon will always keep a better resell value and I have found their quality control is better.

hypothetical scenario A:
i know where there are 30 meucci's in a pawn shop. i also know where there are 4 schon's in another pawn shop in the opposite direction. which way do i go?

hypothetical scenario B: i'm in a tight place financially and need some cash quick. do i
a: pawn my schon's?
b pawn my meucci's
c: sell my schon/'s
d:sell my meucci's?
e: sell blood? nope. i have high BP.
