Schon Value?

Hi All,

I recently picked this cue up and have decided to let it go. It was in pretty bad shape before I bought it, and I've had Bryan Mordt (BCM Cues) refinish the butt, with the exception of the buttcap, which has "Schon" in the old cursive writing. I didn't have him change the buttcap, as I wanted to keep the logo intact. It does have some chipping around the bottom edge of the cap. He also cleaned up the shaft and sprayed the stub end with a clearcoat and put a new medium tip on. The cue weighs 18.6 oz. and has a 12.7mm shaft with a synthetic ferrule. It has six ivory inlays in the points and six good sized ivory rectangles in the butt with veneers.

I know very little about Schons. Is this something I should put on Ebay or should I try to sell it on this forum? Can any of you Schon guys (You know who you are ;)) give me any direction as far as value or model number?

Thanks in advance!

Steve

probably sold for about 8-1000 new. I'd say it will probably go for around 7 used.

Ask Bill or Tate. Think Bill goes by HersheyBill or something like that.

IT is not an R15....

Hunter, I say it is not an R15 due to it has bushka rings. ;)
I will look at my Schon book this evening and see, if I can find it listed in the 88-89 catalog and list price.

Thanks for the help, guys! It is an SL-17. Schon has so many models that I can't tell 'em apart anymore. PM sent, Si!
