Scotch Doubles Question

If you are playing scotch doubles and you shoot out of turn, is it still your turn to shoot on the next inning? Or is it your partners turn at the table on the next inning?

I assume it's your partners turn at the table because if not you would be shooting three times in a row.

I think this prevents a stronger safety player from PURPOSELY shooting out of turn.

First of all, did you call a foul on your own team or did your opponents call it on you for shooting out of turn? I assume BIH is the appropriate penalty, even if it is an honest mistake. I would assume after it is realized, just as you summized, the offender’s partner would shoot the next turn, as it would not be right for the same player to have shot three turns in a row.

We got called on it and gave ball in hand to our opponents. Since I shot out of turn, on the next inning my partner shot. They called foul again. They said that we are suppose to keep the order going and that if was suppose to be my shot.

Is there any official rules on who shoots after shooting out of turn?

If an A player is playing with a C player, what if the A player shoots out of turn purposely to play a safety shot. According to my opponents last night, the A player will be up shooting on the next inning. This doesn't make sense to me.
