Scotch Doubles Schedule

This summer I am strying to start a fun scotch doubles league. I have a group of 12 players signed up and I need to make a round robin schedule. I want all of the players to play with a different partner until we have cycled through the whole group.

Does anyone have a program or know of one that can create this schedule for me. It is a real pain trying to make the matches so I don't get 2 people that have alreayd played together.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

i don't know of a progam but it's really easy to do in excel just by coloring the boxes of who plays whom.
12 players means 6 teams?
Are they each playing each other once, or will they play twice?

I will have them all play once, I figured if I do have them play twice I can just repeat the original schedule.

I have used excel and coloured the boxes like you said but it still gets quite tedious and complicated. Plus the more players you add the worse it gets. I figured there must be something out there that will do it for you.

That is what I was going to suggest Bud. The last Sunday of each month, one of the local bars has a Blind Draw Scotch Tourney.

The draw is made directly before we start playing. Of course, on a rare occasion you can draw the same partner twice in 2 months. 24 players limit, 12 teams. Doesn't happen often but it can.

Just keep a list and if that should happen, throw the name back into the pot and re draw.

Probably the easiest without racking your brain for something more complicated.
