Scott Frost bitten by black widow

I got bit by a brown recluse last fall. Started out as a small bump, then got HUGE and painful, turned black and gross. I was put on 1 course of anitbiotics and it started to work, then it came back worse. Doc thought it might have gotten MRSA (I work in a hospital), and started another stronger course of antibiotics. It healed well, but left a rather nasty scar on my leg.

that is true. Most people do not go into the hospital with mrsa. I can't say I have heard of many cases leading to amputation either. I think you are thinking of necrotizing fascitis. None the less, mrsa does need to be treated, and is difficult to treat. He will be in myprayers also!
