Scott Frost vs Shane VanBoening - CWO Open 8 Ball - Hill Hill Match Video

Thanks for the link Fast Lenny, great match, even with the little drama at the end, just another reason, the game needs one set of rules, and not change from tournament to tournament.

Nice one. It was a great match though.

Sorry, I know my comment was late to the party but I hadn't seen the controversial shot.

They both played very well, without a doubt. It's a shame the match got more talk over a move than two gentlemen champions having a solid set.

It's a shame that Scott Frost had to get all silly and act like a pup at the end.
He's got some loser in him it appears.
Just been some time for it to come out. And I have admired him for so long.
And what a player he is too....but a born front runner. When someone starts nailing him he can't take the heat.
:embarrassed2:

Scott only called 2 of his 6 8balls.

It looked to me like Scott physically pointed to the pocket 3 times (Games 3, 9, and 12). Whether he called any others verbally, I don't know. At 1:36, Scott said he called the 8 every time.

Just another modest kerfuffle.

I'm at the 8th rack. The score is 4-3, SVB.

Neither player has missed a run-out yet. The first player to shoot runs the table.

Does anyone miss a ball or play a safety for the rest of the match?

Granted, they are two great players. But it's actually boring to watch two great players play an easy game.

9-ball is kind of boring too, but at least you see the occassional safety battle and turnover of the table.

I would hardly call bar table 8 ball easy especially on a Diamond table even though they make it look like it. It along with Morra's match with Shane are probably the best sets played in the tournament I feel.
