A few weeks ago I spent a few hours with Scott working on just fundamentals...no position training, strategies, etc, just stroke....
Today for the first time, after hours of practise, the techiniques have really started to kick in. Playing amongst friends today I had 3 8 ball break and runs along with a couple of
table runs in a two hour session. I broke and ran in a league match a couple of nights ago....had never done that before ( won my match easily with a same handicap opponent).
Playing the ghost 14.1 3 days ago I had my best run so far, 33....not much by a "good" players standards but my personal best...before it was 22. Made me feel good.
Thanks for all the help Scott. Mitch

I took a lesson from Scott and he definitely helped me understand the fundamentals of my stroke for the first time in my life correctly. Between his lesson and what Geno has taught me with "Perfect Aim" the only reason I am not better is I don't practice enough. Seriously between these two I feel prepared to improve. I really appreciated the fact that Scott didn't feel the need to change my stance once he saw that it was stable and his stroke mechanic explanation was flawless. Geno made me realize I was not seeing my shots the way I needed to actually pocket balls and taught me a few additional little tricks that will improve anybodies game by knowing. A big thanks to both these guys.

I would highly recommend taking a lesson from Scott, getting your stroke down and than taking a lesson from Geno to improve your pocketing skills. I did the reverse, just my .02 cents.

That's really great news Mitch! Hopefully you can get out of your driveway and get down to the lodge to play, with all the snow you guys are getting! Congratulations on your steady improvement, and it will continue...justd keep up the practice routines I showed you!

You wouldn't want to be up here now Scott. The snow banks are over 7' high on the sides of my driveway and it's adding to it as I type. My street mailbox shows only the front flap. It's under a nine' drifted banking from cleraring the end of my drive with a snow blower. No pool today!!! Mitch

Thanks Tom! I enjoyed working with you and Chris too! Like I told you, the information is there for you to use how you see fit. If you don't practice much, at least you now what to practice, and how to make the most efficient use of your practice time.

I was playing in a whiskey doubles tourney with a good friend and great player Darryl Smith and he brought Scott who was in town with him. It's a casual Friday kinda tourney lots of laughing eating and drinking. I shoot and Darryl is shooting and Scott says to me " Need a Tip? " I am thinking ok cool some free advice from Scott he's seen something I'm doing wrong and this will help correct it ! Scott says " I noticed your tip is very low it might need to be replaced" I replied that I like it that way seems to stiffen the hit for me. Darryl makes his shot and I proceed to miss cue on my next shot ! I turned around and looked at Scott and say " thanks for the tip!" We all bust out laughing! Thanks to Scott for doing what he does and I appreciated all the stories he shared, really good guy.

qfans...You know, I've met a few players over the years who really love that little skinny tip. When I was learning to play, I had a best buddy who played lights out, and he played with that skinny tip...and 40 yrs later, still does. That would never work for me, but I know it works for some folks...like yourself! LOL That was a fun night! Now...here's a REAL tip: Plant your corn early! LOL

Anyone who doesn't understand the fundamentals of their stroke will never have a chance. In 4 hours Scott rebuilt my stroke from the ground up and taught me how to understand it and put it into action. I know what I need to work on now and why it is supposed to be happening. I can't begin to explain how someone like me who just "played" pool before can appreciate this on a logical level but not have it take the fun out of the game, if that makes any sense. I really wasn't sure what to expect Scott, but if you only showed me your speed judgement drill and stroke measurement that would of been worth the small cost of the lesson. I'm sure Chris also benefitted as I have seen him using your info to post on AZ. When you get back up by Madison, Wisconsin Billiard Supply may have to write off a couple cocktails, jk, I got them, don't need the irs after us. Lol

Spar, and in this corner....

Is there a For Sale section on this website at all?

Good point, if you contact Scott or Geno they can give you a lesson. I was giving you a review. If you think I'm getting a benefit than more of what they taught me, you are a idiot. I do appreciate your time. Good luck....

Thanks Tom! As I told you and Chris, I cannot make you a better poolplayer. What I can do is give you the tools to train yourselves to be better players, and along with that, extremely useful diagnostic skills, to help you self-correct when "the wheels fall off"! It truely is an amazing learning format, and works for so many players that dedicate themselves to following their own routine! Definitely I will come see you guys in Madison again!

I didn't notice your post in this thread, so I'll ask the same question of you, with bells on it: is there a For Sale section on this website?
