Scott Lee Lesson

Scott stopped by my house for a 1/2 day lesson (which lasted 6 hours). I was skeptical at first based on prior lessons from others, but decided to give Scott a shot at improving a stroke problem. Thirty days later and after the newness has worn off, the results are amazing.

WOW. Since I am 71, I remember a saying from my mother: "It's to late in life when we learn so much".

After video taping my stroke and freezing frames to show my errors, Scott then showed/demonstrated what I could do to improve my stroke and give it consistency. This is itself was worth the entire lesson.

Next was establishing an eye pattern: Personal Eye Pattern. It was amazing how this increased my accuracy and CONSISTENCY. This again was worth the entire lesson.

Of course there is much more to the course such as Mothers Drills, etc., but I wanted to end with a suggestion to you. If you sign up for a session with Scott, be prepared:
Scott is intense,
he has non-stop enthusiasm,
there are no dead spots in the session,
be well rested because you will be drained,
go in with an open mind because the habits you have may need to change.

Thanks again Scott.

Very Nice lesson review with Scott.

I attended Scott Lee's pool school earlier this year and it was without a doubt, the best investment I've ever made in this game. As a technical person, the process driven approach to the fundamental mechanics of the stroke was precisely what I needed. This not only raised my skill level almost immediately, but it's given me the ability to continuously improve and enhance. Personal Eye Pattern was a real "eye opener" for me as well.

Some choose to invest in equipment, hoping for something magical to happen with inanimate objects, only to briefly get a false sense of confidence. Some put the cart before the horse.

With a clearly defined process, there is nothing magical. Confidence is assured through trial and error, and sustained by factual evidence from personal experience.

It's not the initial improvement one can gain from Scott's approach and techniques that's the real value. It's the lifelong diagnostic toolset that Scott provides that causes the return on investment to be constantly repeated.

But make no mistake...Scott cannot do it for us either. Improvement starts with a magic want, not a magic wand.

I had a lesson with Scott I was surprised to find out some of my flaws he had discovered
One being sometimes I have no pause at all from my back stroke to forward stroke and no eye movement from cue ball back to object ball , so sometimes I just go up look at the object ball and fire with no practice stroke no eye movement now Iv done this all my life with some great success but it leads to some easy misses
Now I have a PSR and I move my eyes back and forth lock in on the OB and have a pause , so it's led to more consistently
Well worth the money spent

Thanks for the kind words Joe! What a night that was...torrential rains, tornado winds! LOL I have your cord ready to send back...even though I'm a month or so late! Thanks again, you saved my bacon with that! LOL The things we teach DO work, given an open mind, and the opportunities to practice correctly! Look forward to seeing you again!

I'll be glad when you can make it to my area. This is something I've wanted to do for a while.

Good thing it wasn't a drinkin contest. I would have lost that one too. Scott is like the Duracell Rabbit. He's broke me down a couple times.

Wish I had a lesson like these 40 years ago. What a start that would have been.

Scott does great work and helps people develop a love for the game. He helped me get the "bug" at age 55. I guess I'm just a young whipper snapper though compared to the OP. Well done Scott!

Thanks Nitpicker! You were a great student in school last summer, and you have obviously put in the work to improve your setup and delivery process. An accurate and repeatable stroke, plus a consistent eye pattern are the first steps to permanently improve your game! The cool thing about lessons or pool school is that the benefits last for years to come! I'll be doing another school out in your area next year, and you're welcome to come back for a refresher for a fraction of what school cost!

As I'm 10 years behind you, I'm curious to know how long you've been playing & at what level do you consider yourself to be playing pool?

Thanks in Advance & Best Wishes,
Rick

Thanks, Scott! I'm definitely going to take the refresher next year and try to send some new students your way as well. I'd also be very interested in your advanced class. Please keep me posted on when you're around this way!

one stroke...I had a great time working with you too! I'm saddened that Big Daddy's closed. That was a great room, and I taught many lessons there over the years. Guess I'll be moving to Top Hat now.

I'm still rather proud to have hosted a lesson by Scott at my house on my GCIV. I tried to stay out of the pool room as much as possible so that he and his student could have as much uninterrupted privacy and concentration as possible. When I would eavesdrop on parts of the 8+ hour lesson (from the kitchen) it was impressive.
Late in the evening I joined them near the end of the lesson. Although they had been going at it for over 8 hours, Scott's energy and enthusiasm was just as strong as when the lesson had first started.
BTW... if you ever shoot against Scott in 8 ball and play safe leaving him well snookered on the 8, behind the two balls that you still have on the table and the cue ball against the rail... don't breath a sigh of relief so fast and go patting yourself on the back. Yea, I did that to him and in return he pulled off a perfect 52" kick, then crossed another 25" to kick the 8 perfectly across and into the corner pocket (dead center). He doesn't just talk the talk... Scott can walk the walk.

Scott, I hope everything is going well for you on the road. Every once in awhile, I am down on a shot and hear one phrase echoing through my head. "k******* to n******" <---- those who have trained under Scott know exactly what the hidden words are... (it is my respect for Scott not to openly quote any of his lesson techniques here).
These days I'm no longer reminding myself to do it... I'm just noticing the fact that it's becoming more of a natural part of my stroke pattern.
Tonight is my regular Wednesday night foursome get together over at my place. I will be sure to bring up that training session as these guys are strong 4's and 5's but could easily be 8's with the your training. Maybe they will realize why I am undefeated in the money games that usually break out at the end of the evening. :thumbup2:
All of the best to you Scott.
