Scott Lee pool lesson

I just got home from a four hour pool lesson with Scott Lee. To say my head is spinning is an under statement. He imparted so much stroke training to me in that short period.
I've been a middle league player for a long time and wondered why I haven't advanced and he showed me why. I've known how to aim and I thought I knew how to stroke but............I've got a long time of practise to put in. Consistency is my goal and his plan showed how to achieve it. His experience and teaching methods really came out in those four hours...wish it could have been longer. Thanks Scott. Mitch

I've only heard good things about him. I can't wait to get him to Sioux Falls sometime in the future. I don't know if I could handle the full 4 as my head might explode. :)

Going to be here tomorrow 1-14 and looking forward to it.

Not sure what to expect but he has his work cut for him...

Nine O Nine,

What did Scott have you work on? I took a lesson from him several years ago and just wondering if anything has changed.

Scott is an excellent instructor! Beginner to advanced, he will point out your errors and help you fix them.

Scott's lesson is the best thing you can do for your game, Scott is a first class instructor. He worked with me a few times. My game definitely improved...I get a lot of compliments from my fellow players. Research Scott and read his reviews.

I took a lesson last week and did the full 8 hours. Started around 9am and didn't finish until around 6pm. It really flew by. Thankfully, he leaves you DVDs so you can go back to "re-take" the lesson. I plan on being on his call back list so I can take another if he passes through my area again.

8 hrs

Scott spent 8 hrs with me earlier this week. Well more like 10+ than 8 but it flew by. Scott is as others have pointed out ...Very easy to be with and enter act with.

Found my stroke was pretty good, need to work on consistency of bridge and speed. This will of coarse help with shape which is much needed. Scott pointed out why I wasn't getting the draw I thought I should. I have plenty of drills to work with but for now I'm working on my stroke first.

I will do this again after a few months of work..

Thanks everyone, for the kind words. I had a blast working with all of you! I can't imagine a better life and job than to be able to help poolplayers become more consistent, so they can have more fun playing pool! After being the mid-Atlantic two weeks ago, and in New Jersey, New York, and New England last week, I spent this weekend in Chicago. Had a 6-man team lesson today at Red Shoes. Thanks to John Lavin for showing us a good time, and for the great table time deal for my students. We spent 8 hrs together, nonstop, and everyone was wanting more. I spent another couple of hours with half of the team, teaching a little, but having some fun too, showing some trick shots, and just playing a few games! I look for this team to really start kicking butt in the Chicago APA. They are motivated, work together well, and are serious about getting better, as a TEAM!

I'm headed to Detroit in a couple of hours to pick up my wife, who is flying up from FL for a few days. Then she'll fly home, and I have lessons in Flint MI, and Indianapolis IN, on my way to the DCC for all 9 days (I can't wait...it's been several years since I was able to attend! :D). Anyone who is interested in working with me, who is attending the Derby, can PM me, or call me to set something up.

Mitch...That was a great lesson we had at the Elk's Club. There were a number of people who were interested in what we were doing, but were respectful of your lesson, and didn't try to "horn in"! I know you'll get a great deal of improvement from practicing what I showed you...after some disciplined practice! Can't wait to work with you again, and see how much you've progressed!

Hey Scott, I used to see you more when you didn't live here LOL, glad you are having fun, DCC is on my bucket list, maybe next year, hit me up when and if you ever get back and we will play some one hole.

Dr Cue Protege asked if I've gotten better since my four hours with Scott. Not yet...simple answer. He made it a point for me NOT to use what was taught until I practised his drills to improve my stroke. It's impossible to unlearn old habits in four hours of instruction. Not having a home table will slow my progress but I'll get there. I'm only seventy two so I've got many years to practise before turning pro. Mitch

Mike...I'll be back in FL Feb.8, for a month. Let's get together and play some at Dale's! My buddy. Lance Cowles and I were talking about the DCC tonight, while we were playing one pocket. We'll both be there Friday morning! :happydance: :woot:

BigBoof...I really enjoyed working with you. I hope we didn't inconvenience your family too much! I'm looking forward to seeing you again, the next time I'm up in the Albany area!
