Scotty Townsend Memorial Updates

Pagulayan beat Capito in a 2-set Finals, 5-9, 7-6. Congratulations, Alex!

Here are a few stats for those 27 games of 7-foot 9-Ball:

Successful breaks (made at least one ball and did not foul):
Pagulayan -- 100% (14 of 14)
Capito -- 77% (10 of 13)
Total -- 89% (24 of 27)

Breaker won game:
Pagulayan -- 57% (8 of 14)
Capito -- 69% (9 of 13)
Total -- 63% (17 of 27)

Break-and-run games -- on all breaks:
Pagulayan -- 43% (6 of 14, including his last 3)
Capito -- 38% (5 of 13)
Total -- 41% (11 of 27)

Break-and-run games -- on successful breaks (made at least one ball and did not foul):
Pagulayan -- 43% (6 of 14)
Capito -- 50% (5 of 10)
Total -- 46% (11 of 24)
A couple observations:
• The match ended at 4:35 am local time. Unless there was some extenuating circumstance of which I am unaware, this is absurdly late to be ending a tournament.
• Capito broke and ran Game 9 of the semifinal match with Joe Keith to win the match 7-2. Unfortunately, in the alternating-break format, it should have been Keith breaking in Game 9. Perhaps they were all too tired to notice. Given the 6-2 score before that game, it probably had no effect on the match outcome, but who knows.

Thanks, Terry. I certainly should not have misspelled Robbie's name, as I have seen him play several times, and spelled his name correctly in several of my stats threads (even back to 2018!). Maybe staying up almost all night to watch had something to do with my mindo this time. I have edited my post in this thread.
