About 10 or 12 years ago I got a TS forgery on eBay. It took about about a minute on the phone with support to get my money back.

I'm looking for the records on my old hard drive. It was a forged TS sneaky. I don't remember if I posted about it on AZB, but I think I did.

I should have pics and records but there are 2 or 3 hard drives involved. Several computers ago.

After getting called an asshole by a known seller on here for trying to make my best deal on a cue. Then hassle by his son until reporting him twice. Now a fake cue. Im gonna enjoy what I have and be done with cues.

Many moons ago, and Doc, if it was a Scruggs sneaky, it was likely made by John Slovatnik, not Tim. Pay attention to the history.

Well, we don't know that you got called an asshole by a known seller on here. You made a deal on Ebay, not here. You made a big mistake by not checking here with some good pictures, to see whether it was the real deal.

If you got called an asshole, it's not on this thread. A few of us did try to give you a bit of advice.

I'll bet you're not done with cues, but you've learned a bit.

This site is the go to place to not only interact with pool players you'll also see that many here are most qualified to give solid advice over a wide range of topics, with cues being near the top of the list.

remain vigilant, more dead beats from other sites ( think facebook) try to sneak in here and one or two bad apples keep coming back

before buying check out how long the seller has been here and how many deals they've completed to the buyers/traders satisfaction

if you paid with paypal or a credid card you probably have a path to recovering your $$$

let us know how it works out

Sorry this happened to you. Most everyone has been burned at least once. Most learn. Here, the price told you everything you needed to seek confirmation. Way too cheap.
And this happens not just with cues. Be cautious in all transactions. If you have this occur on anything, tell the seller you are going to AZ, etc., to confirm. If the seller ghosts you or drops the price further . . .
Check with your credit card company. Contact the seller. If he is really honest he will refund every cent.
Good luck. Do not tarry.

Now you guys have me paranoid. I bought this simple SP on ebay probably in 1999. Any comments?

Is this one real?
There are others. I do not know how many. This is where you have to educate yourself by studying 1,000,000,000,000 cues where ever you can. No easy way to do it. Thank God for the Web. Search real sites.

Im sending the cue back. Seller is sorry and I believe him. He was selling it for a guy that used it 35 years and never knew.
The reason I started this thread is, after receiving the cue, I suspected that joint . Fact is I thought the cue may be a rare scruggs.lmao
It's rare alright. I'd like to thank all good input. As of now I think blaslett on ebay is faultless in this and will update
