Scruggs pt.veneer cue on ebay!

Rare cue...see Tim's email..

..here is the email from Tim's shop relative to this cue. It is a very rare cue and it plays great.

That cue was made in about 1982 or 83. Very rare. To duplicate it to day would be 2100.00.

Tonight I acquired a rare cue of yours. It is a 3 point,4 veneer (ryrb), whith a solid ivory joint and 3/8x10 flatfaced joint. It has a delrin buttcap with the old logo. Both shafts have ivory ferrules , 1 is 12mm and the other is 13mm. Cue is in excellent, apparently original condition. It has the old TS logo on the butt cap.

Can you tell me how rare this cue is, a timeframe when it was produced, and,if possible, a replacement value for insurance purposes.
