Is There A Higher Value Placed On A Scruggs If He Has Actually Signed It,,just Currious ,,,sorry To Post In This Category But It Seems To Get A Lot Of Looks,,,,plmk,,,,,,;)

The man to answer this question is scruggsinhand, he is online now and a scruggs collector. He should be able to tell you what your cue is worth.

YES is the answer to your question in my opinion and in general

i have 3 signed and Phil//panhndle has 1 also, if he hasnt sold it already....

Phils cue is really nice with the ivory diamonds....

only one of my signed ones is fancier than Phils, being a 6pt with 72 ivory inlays and ivory/gold ringwork which is signed and dated (the only one i know of to be hand signed AND dated)

so let us see what you have ;)

I think yes and no

Tim and I have had more than a few laughs on this one. Sometimes I wish I kept a few of the signed cues Timi has done but for me a TS logo cue has the same value as a signed cue. If you ask him to sign the thing when he makes it and he rembers to it will get signed no big deal. Even though he will sign cues 1/1 all of his cues are made to be a little different than anything he has made in the past so even in his veneeer cues you will have a hard time finding another to match and that not the signature really keeps his cue value up the playability and balance are as good as it gets!

Based on the fact that TIM only signed a miniscule % of the Q's he built they will bring a PREMIUM!!!!

Well

The High ones would be his personal cues if you were Gonzo but those aren't for sale they are for T Archie!!!!!!! And they say so in the butt cap in bold Lettering. I wish I could afford my name on a cue like that! And the really high end ones that make time stand still when you put one in your hand yes the ivory handled ones. Well now you see why a signature means less to me!
But they are nice:)

I have an old school 4 pointer with veneers from the early 80s that is signed without a logo. I was told that it was worth the same as the exact cue, not signed with a logo. So my understanding is that if it's a super highend signed it will add to the value. If the cue is "low end" it doesn't change the value. Does that sound about right?

You guys need to stop with all these Scruggs cues, they will be worthless in a few years..... so you might as well send them all to me, and I will dispose of them properly for you......... :D

I took delivery of a 94 ivory inlaid cue from Tim and Mike about 4 weeks ago. Mine has an ivory butt cap and a solid ivory joint. Tim signed his name to the cue and after his name wrote "1 of 1." The wrap is a uniform natural lizard wrap, only the second cue ever wrapped by Scruggs like mine. I have to believe that having the cue signed by Tim with the words "1 of 1" makes the cue worth more down the line. If anybody is interested in seeing photos of the cue, please e-mail me at m.gartland@insightbb.com. The cue is a KNOCKOUT!
