i wish i knew how to do a poll
if anyone of you do lets make this a poll
if you have been lucky (or rich..:D) enough to have played with steel jointed scruggs and radial pin flat faced ivory jointed cues by tim

which cue would you bring for the match of your life????

I'VE HAD EM BOTH SEVERAL TIMES AND CAN't tell the difference

if you are buying take either and don't look back

scruggs play great

Hey

Very clear to me the ivory flat face radial pin cue plays so much better. add to that the thinner handle, the cue us a delight.

In M y Opinion....

I've played with my buddy's 1999 Tim Scruggs cue that he just sold yesterday to Nick Serdula on AZ. His Scruggs cue played pretty identical to my mid-70's steel joint Josswest cue. Now I hppen to also own a 2006 Tim Scruggs cue with flat faced ivory joint/wood face shaft.

In comparing the difference, there isn't any doubt whatsoever in my mind the overall feel and feedback with the ivory joint cue is definitely "much" better than the steel joint cue. Of course, it's a prerequisite that any comparison include that all of the cues have ivory ferrules in order to derive the complete experience and pure enjoyment that comes from playing with ivory. I was so impressed that I now only buy ivory joint cues for my personal play.
