Scruggs Sneaky Pete on eBay

Guys this cue looks a little funny to me and I am not laughing. Look at the TS on the cue, it appears that there was also a stamp above it. It may be a real cue I do not know for certain, what is everyones opinion.

I'm thinking no way that is a Scruggs, I have seen multiple cues done just like this with the TS burned, carved or inked into a house sneaky on ebay in the past. This one definetly looks off, it looks like whoever put the TS on messed up and had to redo or like you said maybe a stamp. Thats my 2c.

I have owned too many Scruggs to know this is not one of them. That bumper is straight off a eliminator type sneaky. I have never seen that shaft insert besides on a overseas shaft and Scruggs would not leave that joint as is. Just my opinion Craig. =)

I've seen Scruggs sneaky's with that bumper before and the joint matches too! The slight indent above the initial marking does look a little weird.

Scruggs S/P

I have a Scruggs s/p with what looks like the same bumper best I can tell.. Mine has a collar on the joints and the TS is not as dark as his.. All I know is I'm real happy with mine... You can see the bumper in my cue pictures under my sign in name...
The Dster..

It looks like my Scruggs as far as the bumper, points, joint pin, and pilot.

The logo does look a bit funny with some sort of "s" blemish/mark/impression above the top of the "T"...

I've spoke to this guy on several occasions, he's had many Scruggs cues that he's sold, and I believe this to be one also, he's also an AZer, and he's got other really nice cues, too.

I'm sure it's authentic...and that it'll make someone a GREAT Playing instrument!!!

I've bought from this guy before. He is straight up and would not have a perfect feedback if he was not. Besides, if it is not legit...he will refund the money! He HAS a 7-day money back guarantee!

Scruggs SP

I bought the last six true Sneaky petes like this one that came out of Tim's shop, and I have more like this one. This is how they were made. The bumper is Scruggs. The TS is the true Scruggs Stamp. These SP cues without Joint Collars and butt caps are made from Valley house cues. They sold for $199. back in the mid 1980's. The dark spot above the T is probably from the sholder of the stamp as it was stamped deep then diddn't quite finnish off. It isn't dented but just a slight color stain mark.
If it looks like a Scruggs,
Feels like a Scruggs,
Smells like a Scruggs,
Hits like a Scruggs,
Plays like a Scruggs,
It probably is a Scruggs.

No disrespect intended, and I applogize if my comments offended you. Thanks for the information, that appears to have cleared things up.

Respectfully
