SEA Games Singapore - live streaming

Just watched Myanmar's Muang Muang beat Carlo Biado for a place in the final. Must have been the most amazing feeling in the world.

Chezka won over Rubilen Amit with a score of 7 to 5. She's a future world champion in my opinion. Does not wilt under pressure and could only improve from hereon.

Here is the schedule for later tonight:

It's crazy how good teenagers can play billiards, Wu won a world championship at 16, now this 15 yr old winning vs people 2 times her age. I was watching a 14 yr old at SBE get through pretty far in the women's pro event a few months ago. A league year end tournament had a 12 yr old girl go 4 rounds undefeated, a 14-16 yr old girl won the 9 ball lower skill bracket, my son at 15 won the 8 ball lower skill bracket, and there was at least one more 13 or 14 yr old in the final 4.

Goes to show you that skill and practice counts for everything in billiards, not physical strength.

Thanks for the update.

I agree about Chezka. First time I came across her was when someone posted a video of her casually running a rack of rotation at 13. She's going to make some serious waves in the years to come.

I like their set up for televised matches. The arena is well lit and organized with lots of camera angles.

Speaking of "blue", take a look at the shot she made on the 2 ball at the 4 hrs 25 min 16 sec mark. This was the SHOT of the match!!! Chezka was ahead at 3-0 at the beginning of the match and at this point, Rubilen was about to catch up at 6-5. Watch how she hit the blue ball:

Yup -- a match-winning kick.

I posted this last night in another thread:

Well, I think young Ms. Chezka Centeno is the real deal. She just won the women's 9-Ball event, beating Rubilen Amit 7-5. I don't think it was Amit's best play (including two illegal breaks), but Centeno still showed a lot. Although she fouled on 3 kicks, I saw her miss only one shot.

Congrats, Ms. Centeno; I hope to see you play often in the future.

Great stream, picture sharp as a tack. No commentary takes something awY from it ion my opinion.

 And Dennis wins the gold with a score of 9 to 4 against the young player from Myanmar. He was down 4 to 2 earlier and then won 7 straight games on an alternate break format. Maung Maung looked very confident and impressive during the first few rounds. He beat Carlo Biado earlier in the semis 9 to 6 but he is not on Orcullo's level yet.

Orcollo won 9 - 4 after being down 0 - 3. Maung was undone by 3 scratches, misses in 2 games, a bad safety, and 3 Orcollo B&R's.

Thanks.
Hopefully it gets uploaded later, would love to see that.

You can watch the match here now:

 Maung had an opportunity to lead 4 to 1 over Orcullo but scratched on the 9 ball in rack no. 5. He then hit the table and his head with his cue stick in disgust. He did not win a single point after that rack. He is only 21 years old though and would only get better with experience.
