Sealing, Final finish and burnishing

Received my renaissance wax, i just LOOOOOVE it :)

I received some Renaissance was on Saturday and cleaned up a couple of my shafts. When I say "cleaned up", I don't imply my shafts were "dirty" in the normal sense because all my shafts are cleaner than most people's before I even clean them. They just needed a little sealing and shining.

I stripped and sealed them with Rosonol lighter fluid.

I didn't saturate the shafts with it. I poured some on a clean paper towel and rubbed the hell out of them and then rubbed the hell out of the shafts with some more paper towels to make sure they were dry. Then I used a piece of brown paper bag to rub the hell out of them to burnish them.

After that I put some wax on a paper towel and performed the same procedure using the wax. At the end I rubbed them down with a micro-fiber cloth.

There are all slick, clean, and shiny now.

FWIW, I've used lighter fluid on my laminate Predator shaft a couple of times and haven't noticed anything that made me think it was damaging it. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

When using polishing pads or towels etc, if you use a piece that is small so that it can not entangle you is the safest. Paper towels are safer but sometimes you need to use cloth for polishing. In those cases I cat small pieces to use.

Ronsonal & brown paper bag, old school. Love it. Good thick Brown bags getting harder to find but nothing burnishes quite like them
