We have often tried to have a WA AZB get together, which never seems to pan out. So, a few of us have come up with instead of a 'meet and greet' that we would try and put together a WA AZB Tournament.
I have already spoken with Ken (krbsailing) and he has offered up his place, Village Pub & Eatery, in Bellingham. We are leaning towards 9 Ball, Double Elimination, Race to 2. Entry fee would be $10. Ken says he'll add $50. We were thinking, if we limit the field to 20 players, we could start at 2pm on a Saturday afternoon, and should be done around 8-9pm. This is an invite-only type tournament, and will not be open to the public; exclusive to AZB members only.
Ken has 4 tables available, which are located in a 'pit' away from the rest of the tavern traffic. He has a very nice place, well kept tables, and plenty of food and drink. And Ken is a very gracious host.
We thought this would be more fun than your average 'meet and greet'.
For any who are interested, either reply here, or via PM to either myself or runscott (yes, Scott...you are helping me with this!...lol). We are trying to work out a date that will allow for the most to be able to participate...the more the merrier!!

Breaking Balls!?

Just food for thought.....we normally have a 9-Ball raffle every week which is progressive -- but, we can sell "raffle" tickets for this event which is a little more than a "breaking contest"
Basically, we could sell tickets for $1 a piece; 7 for $5; we normally draw 6 names from the hat -- 1st draw would normally shoot for 75%, 2nd draw 50%, 3rd thru 6th draw would be for 25%. however, we can make this a 100% payout for this event and/or the leftover proceeds will be added to the tourney pot if nobody breaks and runs, etc.!?!?
