This is interesting. So breaking is not at all about speed then.

Speed and timing...... yes.
Size and power....... no.

Evgeny Stalev has a really powerful break, as well, for a small guy.

His cue is about 45 degrees, similar to Xiao-Ting, except he has an extremely long follow through.

I think Tommy Kennedy and Stevie Moore should be mentioned here as well....they are both pretty small and yet seem to have thunderous breaks.
