Secrets To Executing This Shot?

The below center hit is not at the "bottom" of the ball, it is below the imaginary centerline you create depending on the degree of elevation.
Think of it like this, if you have elevated 20-30 deg to shoot the shot, the imaginary centerline of the cueball moves up into the same plane as the angle of the cuestick. You will have to follow through because you are pinching the ball between the tip and the cloth, (like a curve or a masse).
Also on this shot, or any other elevated shot, your upperbody changes angle also. You are still using the same mechanics (stroke arm etc), but your body/stance has to follow the angle of the cue stick.

ok, for all of you venerable posters/players out there, what is needed to execute this shot?

your cue ball is about 1/2" to 1" or so off the rail. the shot on the '3' Ball is straight in, and you need to draw it back for the shot on the '4'.

any tricks of the trade on this shot? and please, before someone says follow, assume that is not a possibility, thank you.

Since it's impossible to hit the exact center of the cueball causing deflection and extreme throw on this shot, you should jack up and hit it with extreme bottom left and aim your stick just outside the bottom left of the ghostball with a fast and loose stroke. The cueball will kill off the side rail a little so you can hit this a little firmer. That's the way you should do it playing Rafael Martinez just to mess with him.

I've tried the safety that I illustrated a few times and I have to go twice across with the cue ball in order to get the object ball down table. Other than that, it seems fairly executable.

was bob the only one to mention cue alignment? :):):)every pro i've seen who has to jack up, aligns his cue horizonatlly first.
