Attention all USBA Members:
This fall we will be having our elections for the new Board of Directors of the USBA. The election will be held from October 1 through December 31 of 2012. The newly-elected Board Members will begin their 4-year terms of office on March 1, 2014.
With the recent changes made to the Constitution, the USBA Members will elect a Board consisting of 7 Directors. There will be no voting for President or Secretary. Instead, the 7 newly-elected Board Members will elect a Board Chairman and a Secretary and/or Treasurer as well as decide the responsibilities and duties of each Board Member.
This is an official announcement that we are seeking candidates for office. As long as you permanently reside within the United States and are a USBA Member in good standing, you are eligible. All nominees must be approved by the current Board.
If you are willing to communicate with other Board Members through email or through our online Board Forum, are willing to be involved in conference calls from time-to-time or an occasional in-person meeting and if you are willing to put in some time occasionally to help promote and better our sport, then please consider running for office. The deadline to become a candidate is September 25th.
