Seller info

I'd be wary if ppl don't step up to vouch with their experiences... A lot of posts here recently about scammers operating via the private messages.

You could eliminate the obvious by searching the email address within this forum, and on google...

If you're the buyer, use paypal if possible. Maybe offer to split their fee. Then you have easy recourse if it's a scam.

how does he sound on the phone when you talked to him. you did that didnt you.
do you know his real name?
if worried skype with him and have him show you his drivers license.

is his address a bonafied one. google it to see where he lives or gets his mail.

would you do business with anyone who you dont even know his name or where he lives and send money in advance? if so good luck i wont.

One more quick piece of advice... Obfuscate those email addresses or they'll be picked up by bots and you'll both be inundated with spam and scams. For example: john_oleson at comcast dot net

There is businesses and terms of payments to make transactions safe, i always find it humorous to watch strangers ask strangers if its safe to do business with strangers over the internet. Escrow, goods and service payments etc etc keep your money or cue safe...

Since I made this inquiry and included 'seller' info he decided not to continue contact. Thanks to all for all the great advice.

in most transaction in life you get to pick up the merchandise and then pay for it, or its simultaneous.

through the mail and internet you pay first before you even see the goods. so its up to you to take all precautions.
and you need to.
