Seller shipped cue via USPS on the 13th, but it is seemingly still not in transit. Just shows Accepted by USPS.

Update: The package arrived today, at my local city, and now shows Out for Delivery. I am so happy, and relieved, lol. But, there were only 2 updates. Scanned as Accepted, to Arrived at Destination 5 days later, and then Out for Delivery. No updates along the way. Not even a update saying that it was In Transit. At least with UPS, which also has horrible tracking, it assures you that the package is in transit. I did not even get that much assurance from USPS. Thanks for reading.

I know this is not really pool related, but I have had such horrible luck with usps over the years, that I have never wanted to use them when shipping or receiving anything pool related, which is all I would be doing anyways, either shipping or receiving a pool cue.

This guy takes 4 days to ship out a cue that I ordered from him, and then ships it usps, because he told me that was the only option available to him.

And now, the package is seemingly not even in transit.

It just says Accepted, and has remained in that status since last Friday.

I am afraid that it has been lost.

I just find it so strange that there have been no new scans of the package ever since it was Accepted on the 14th.

Just so angry, because I have been without a pool cue, and was really hoping to receive this cue by Monday.

I know that nothing can be done. Just be patient, and hopefully some type of updates scan will come up on the system.

Anyways, this is why I never use usps, and have only used them on a few occasions, over the years, when I had to ship to a Post Office Box.

Even on those occasions though, I think I woukd rather use a service like FedEx Ground Economy, to ship to a PO Box, where it is at least in FedEx hands until it gets to the local town that it is going to, to be transfered to usps hands.

Anyways, I am just so bummed. I am afraid this package has been lost, or stolen, or who knows. Why other reason would they have for not be scanning it at each new stop?

Thanks for reading my rant..

Again, I hate USPS. Seems that they have employees that do not take their jobs too seriously. I don't know. I understand that they have to sort through millions of mail items every day, at every local facility, and for reasons Unknown, things get lost.

It's their horrible tracking system...recently ordered something that was shipped USPS...the update from them read "label created"...even AFTER it was delivered, it still just read "label created"...:(

USPS is and has been in a bad way for quite some time and I'd only use them as a last resort to ship any thing remotely valuable. It's not so much that I'm worried about things going missing as everything I've sent or ordered eventually shows up. It's just that they're unreliable when it comes to any kind of tracking or delivery schedule. Hell, I've had numerous things show as "out for delivery" at 9:00 in the morning only to show up the next day.

The most impressive route I've had anything take was a print sample I sent out for work. I sent it from Dayton, Ohio to Mentor, Ohio. For those of you you not familiar with Ohio geography, that's about a four hour drive from southwest Ohio to northeast Ohio. It showed up in Mentor about ten days later with a postmark from Philadelphia on it. Now, I realize they don't put my package in a truck and drive it straight to my chosen destination. But how on earth did it manage to go almost nine hours due east to Philly, then almost seven hours BACK to Mentor?

LOL, I could have walked that route in the 10 daya that it took them to deliver it, and probably hand delivered it faster then that.

Anyways, I just really hope that they did not lose the package. Fell off a cart, and got kicked under some thing that nut even the janitor cleans, but once a year. Lol, I do not know. Just wish someone would scan the freaking package, so that it would show anything other then just Accepted.

I do not even know if usps has it. It was mailed at a mail boxes place. 3rd party shipping place. They are the ones who scanned it in as Accepted, I believe. Was it even picked up? Who knows.

Thanks for your reply..

Every Postal Employee should be required to pass a average Geography Test, at a Junior High Level. I just love it when My packages go in the opposite direction. It's like they don't know east from west. Then in about 4-5 days it show back up at the original post office to start the right journey. One of the things that is wrong in America today, is people trying to do jobs they don't have any clue what they are doing( and never will). In my day you were hired to do a job. If you could do it you stayed, if not you were gone. You were hired to do that job, and you said you could when you took the job.

Right!!! I feel like it would have had a better chance of making it on time if I'd just tied it to a balloon and let it go. That's obviously an exaggeration, but holy hell... Ten days to go a little over 200 miles???

As silly as this sounds, I once had something expressed to me from Central Illinois, to Southern Illinois, and it still took 2 days to get to me, lol. I got my refund on Express shipping fee though, lol. Maybe that is the secret to free usps shipping. Express everything, because odds are, it will not get there on the Next Day.

I’ve typically had great luck with USPS but just recently had a package take 2 weeks when it should have been 3 days. Showed no movement for over a week from acceptance. Seller finally started an inquiry or something and that did get it scanned after a day or two. Still took a while to get delivered and date got pushed back at least one more time….but it did eventually arrive safe and sound.

So don’t lose hope after a few days, it’ll most likely show up eventually, but the seller may be able to move things along by asking for them to look into it.

Well, these days, you are not even required to speak a single word of English. They will hire anyone off the street. I actually understand that from what I have read, getting a job at the US Postal Service is not easy.

Back when they had 1st Class shipping most items would arrive within 2 - 4 business days and the Priority stuff would arrive in 1 - 3 days max. How they messed up both I don't understand it but 95% of my items are under 2 lbs so that helps even if they take a bit longer to get there. The main PO here has been doing construction for over a MONTH NOW and has 80% of the main room blocked off, lines have gotten much smaller lol!!

Having same problem, I know item was shipped, but tracking says not in system. Wheels falling off at the post office :)

USPS has gone downhill for a long time now.

Is it even a law against stealing mail? It seems that nothing is done against those that steal mail and packages. Whether it be internally or externally.

No longer a federal crime?

Hopefully you have it in hand by the end of today. Unfortunately the USPS has become so unreliable for shipping anything that even their "out for delivery" message can be meaningless.

It is a sad reality to expect extended delays and poor tracking any time a shipper uses the USPS.

I questioned USPS even having the package before. I was starting to think that it never even got picked up at the mail boxes place. UPS is the same way. No updates, until it arrives at local destination. At least they tell you that it is in transit though. I did not even get that much. I really prefer FEDEX, because they have the best tracking, and the best customer service. It costs more, but it is worth it.
