Seller shipped cue via USPS on the 13th, but it is seemingly still not in transit. Just shows Accepted by USPS.

I was a little worried when I saw a news byte that said 10,000 USPS workers will be given voluntary early retirement. That's only 1.5% of the workers, so maybe half of the usual annual departures. But in my experience with such situations, it is often the best workers who take the buy-out, as they feel they can get another job easily.

The USPS currently loses about $10 billion per year.

USPS will be revamped and firing 10k employees. Hopefully they will go back to what they once were. Nowadays with paperless system, they just deliver you junk mail. Anything of importance can be pulled up on demand through their website.
If they get rid of the right ones. It will be a great day. If they keep all the worthless one it will be the same. The problem is too many chief's and not enough Indians. We need lot's of Indian's and One Chief. We do not need a Post Master at every little Post Office. If your town is less that 5000 population you don't get one.Larger city's only need one Post Master and he oversee's the satellite offices. The smaller communities could answer to the closest Post Master Office in larger community. Won't be any farther than driving across a larger city. Very simple stuff if you think about it. With a Good R.I.F. plan (Reduction in Force) The courts have to allow it.

it isnt run right if it loses money every year. its tolerated as its tough to get it straightened out. and political suicide
but a few years back the unions forced a contract and retirement benefits that was overwhelming to their chance of profits.

in reality it needs to go to twice a week delivery. every day to your mailbox where ever you live is too much to ask with our population growth.
most days all i get is a piece or two of junk mail.. and hand delivery of that every day cant possibly be cost effective.
