Selling cues on ebay rant

Well I have sold many things on ebay and figured it was time to sell my first cue. I had a Meucci cue that was basically my first cue I started playing with a few years ago. Nothing fancy just right for me at the time. Since then I have upgraded to some really nice cues and figured it was time to sell it. Didn't want to waste any time in the for sale section here because usually the bigger cues get the attention. So I slap it on ebay describing it as having a few scratches and dings on the butt and the red-dot shaft had a wobble to it. I was only hoping to get maybe $100 and it sold for a little over that. Shipped it out packed extremely well and come to find out....negative feedback:angry: . Why??? Buyer reasoning....shaft has a wobble:angry:  . Are you freaking kidding me? Better yet after rolling 300 positives this is my first negative ever because some moron can't read. Can anyone else relate or do I just find all the good ones? Sorry I feel a lil better......maybe:angry:

yes i can relate lol

same thing happened to me, i sold a cue that had no tip or ferrule on it, the person gave me a negative for not having a tip, after messaging back and 4th about 5 times he decided to withdraw it i think, it was a while back. I even showed him the description saying the the shaft was missing the tip and ferrule, and had a picture of it. he tried to say i changed the listing after the sale, there is soem idiots on there for sure!

As an ebay seller I am amazed at how many buyers do not read the description carefully, there is nothing worse than being completely honest about the product and still getting a negative feedback.

And the kicker is now that ebay has changed the feedback system you cannot leave them a negative, only a neutral or positive.

ebay is starting to suck it is geared more and more towards 'corporate' sellers while structuring out the small sellers by design.

Two things come into play now-a-days on eBay ...

#1 - SO many re-tards will bid without thoroughly reading (and comprehending) the text in the listing and this type of bidder also seldom asks intelligent questions ...

#2 - eBay's wonderful new policy of not allowing the Seller to post
Negative Feedback for a Buyer even when the Buyer is a P.O.S. ...

I used to post Feedback for the Buyer as soon as payment was received, but now I only post Feedback AFTER Feedback has been posted for me (when I am the Seller) ...
That way, I can still MF the A-hole with words if they post Neg. Feedback for me ...

You can have it removed if that was their reason and it was described in your listing. Ebay does help the seller with what they call "extortion" negative feedback left by buyers.

I thought the seller could reply to any feedback? Has that changed?

Yes that has changed, a seller cannot leave a buyer negative feedback for any reason.

According to ebay's new feedback rules the seller only has two options for a buyer, neutral or positive, so in this case the seller has to take the negative right up the tail pipe and there is nothing he can do about it.

That will never happen in a million years, getting ebay to remove a feedback is impossible.

Used to be you could leave the buyer a negative then you could do a 'mutual withdraw' where the buyer and seller both agree to remove the comment but now that the seller cannot leave a negative for the buyer that option is out the window too.

The buyer will simply say 'not as described' and ebay will do nothing.

Ever since they bought out Paypal, things have gone downhill on the bay.
