Selling Cues

This is just for my own curosity. I have noticed that some cue makers cues seem to sell quicker than others when posted. Searing, Barry Szamboti and Hercek seem to be the top rung, with Southwest, Manzino,Haley, bringing up a close second. Am I off base or is that about right. I very rarely see a Searing for sale here, or a Barry Szam.

It's hard to unload cues that not too many people want.
People can argue hit all day but somehow some cues' hit are more popular.

Cues

I think a lot of different cues are made well and they play well, but not all of them are sought after on the secondary market.

Forums like AZ have a lot of members who enjoy owning nice cues and they like to talk about them. The cues that you mentioned in your thread are all very hard to get because of supply and demand. They are all made well and they play well and people who own them like to show pictures and let others who don't own them see their cues.

Supply and demand plus the fact that when one of the cues you mentioned does show up on the market it usually sells pretty quickly. There are buyers waiting for them due to the fact that you can't pick up the phone and call the cue makers for those cues and order one in a reasonable time frame. This is the reason they sell for so much money and they sell quickly. People who can afford them want to own a cue that others can't get unless they are willing to pay premium money when one is listed for sale.

I think there are a lot of cues that play as well as the cues you listed, but they aren't that hard to find and they don't have the buyers waiting in line to get one so they don't bring the big $$$.

This is just my opinion on cue sales....
