The seeded players for Sang Lee International 3C tournament will start their matches tomorrow afternoon. Early this evening the top class players were playing some friendly warm up matches. Later some stayed on to get a good feel of the table.

Semih was at a corner practicing by himself starting 9 for at least 4 hours. 7-10 people stood around quietly watching everything he did.

Here are some of his practice shots

Double the rail 1
Double the rail 2
Drop in 1
Drop in 2
Bank 1
Bank 2

Most of these shots were not set up by him, for some reason they just kept coming up, at least 2 or 3 times each. There were slight variations and he made everything look like hangers.

Later Mazin came by with a few friends, they asked him to do some time shots

Time shot 1
Time shot 2
Time shot 3 (this one took a few tries)

He is not just a trick shot artist; he is a top player who happens to be able to do the best trick shots.

Wei,

Thank you very much for posting these. It's very interesting to see the type of shots that the top 3C players consider to be just "in the normal course of business". They always astound me.

Ugg- naturals, all of em, eh?! Especially Bank 2:eek:

These are a small fraction of normal shots during his own practice.

He was all to himself and not necessarily setting up shots to please people :)

A good exercise here:
Try erase the lines <Shift-N> and determine the best shot for yourself from the same layout. Add it to a new page <Shift-D> and use <page up>, <page down> to do some comparative studies :)
