Senior State Titles

I think that you may have one for snooker. But sad to hear nothing for pool. ...
In the US, the NGO for snooker is the USSA, for carom is the USBA, and for pool is the BCA. Each of those is a member, directly or indirectly, of the world governing bodies for those respective disciplines. I believe none of those three organizations has state-level affiliated organizations.

The US does not even have National Championships for pool except for Juniors. We have national snooker championships and national three cushion championships, but no national pool championships. It has to do with our pool governing body, the BCA.

The closest we have come to a pool championship for seniors was with several senior pool tours, which I believe included one Steve Mizerak was associated with. There are occasional seniors-only tournaments but they are open and not national championships.
Perhaps this will change with Matchroom. After all, it behooves them to have a "farm system" for American players if they are trying to promote pool worldwide, and America represents a huge market, if they can just get it promoted a bit better. America needs multiple world class players if the American public is gonna buy in. Shane is likely on the downslope of his career, and no real indication that any young American players are going to make the big leap, as of yet.

As of this day the Australian Senior Snooker Association Inc. (ASSA) is inviting players and members. The ASSA will be promoting snooker tournaments in all states of Australia for:
  • Over 50s Snooker Championship
  • Over 60s Snooker Championship
  • Over 70s Snooker Championship
