Sentimental "Mystery Cue" can anyone help ID?

Prather points could still make it a who knows who put it together cue. The time frame for that pin style might narrow the field some. Les Blevins might be a choice. You might send pictures to Laurie at SW and see if she thinks it is one of their cues.
 
I would think prather also, especially with the location mentioned, but Like Chris mentioned, could be anyone that has dealt with them. Most prathers I see are signed prather, but that does not mean that some are not signed, because I'm not familiar enough with that to make a judgement. I have a guy that loves the cues here, and he is always asking if I have any for sale. He's trying to talk me out of one I built now, but It's one of my early cues, so I really want to hold on to It.

You are certianly right. While the points give a Prather feel, Prather could have made the front and the rest by somebody else.

They could have made the butt sleeve also ;)
 
Any chance its a Scott Whistler? That was my gut reaction. Other than that Prather would be my guess based on look and area cue is supposed to be from.

Thanks to all that replied, I dont know if I ever will find out who made this cue for sure, but I guess thats the way my dad wanted it to be.

Has anyone heard of a cue maker by the name of "Randy Anderson"? I Was told today that he was making cues in the time frame mine was made, and that he was from the Kansas, Oklahoma area. I was told he quit making cues but has recently started to build them again.
 
Don't stop playing with this cue. Your dad bought the cue for you to use.
If you want a replica go ahead and get one but save the rep for the wall, not the real thing. Why would your dad spend that kind of time researching cuemakers and spend a fair amount of coin but not want you to play with it forever.

Hi 3kushn, I have no intentions of not playing with this cue. I am still trying to find the original cuemaker. I will have this cue forever. I had a lead on this anderson gentleman and was hoping for some info on the guy so I could contact him.
 
Don't know if this will help you any, but here is an old catalog I have of Anderson Cues. Here's the number: (316) 945-9833. Sorry but that number is from 1988!
