I'll be attending the Open for the first time this year, and understand that they have 2 sessions each day. Can someone tell me what time the first session begins? I will be there the final two days.

2 sessions?? that aint right theres matches schedules the first day every to hours starting i believe at 1:00 I think. I cant recall last years schedule but I was there an its all day all nite

I looked at webpage myself to see and it doesn't help answer your question.

Sessions are most likely for spectating and viewing purposes.

Afternoon and evening sessions imo will consist of 3 rounds of matches each session !

That is per Barry's daughter. What I assume she is referring to is that there will be two installments of matches. One beginning perhaps late morning - mid afternoon. Then, breaking and returning for later matches in the evening. I did send her a follow-up email asking when the sessions begin but she has never responded. Also, not sure if this is true for the final two days.

Received the answer. Session starts at 11:00 am

And, the evening session starts at 5p or 6p. There are two sessions per day. Both sessions have several rounds in them.

On the final day, it might be hard to find a decent seat. In the old Chesapeake Ctr, the final table was set up with bleachers around 3/4's of it and the camera boom in the remaining area. The only way to sit within 25 feet of the table was to have a VIP seat.

This year is a new venue. There are supposed to be 3 ball rooms, so I' would imagine that the semi finals and finals will be a similar situation.
