Setting Up 40 Tables

I've toured the Diamond factory and seen how they prepare tables for shipment. I've been to DCC where they have about 35-40 Diamond tables set up for the tournament. It's really slick how they are able to set up their one piece slate tables quickly for tournaments and then take them down again at tourney's end.

Does anyone here know how long it takes and approximately how many people it takes to do that kind of set up job? Probably someone here has witnessed it.

I've seen the levelling part. It takes about 20 minutes per table. They use about 18 machinist's levels. Another large part of tournament setup is the lights.

For the table installation part, I heard they had to do the 24 tables for the UK Open in less than a day due to venue availability. Not sure how many were in the crew.

Once I was a lucky man to have a long chat with no other than Paul Smith.

Here this wonderful chap is:

I did not watch the video but presumably the whole process does not take more than an hour (that's the timing of this video ;) )

BTW, does anybody know how Paul is doing nowadays?

From watching the video you can see how much faster it could go with a level at every measuring point.
