Steve is a great cue man and my friend. He does all my cue work. Steve modified my Mace break jump a while back. New ferrel, new joint, stack leather wrap. Looks,Breaks and jumps great. Although his shop is 45 miles from me , I gladly drive there. His jump cues are the nuts.

I agree. Steve has done some work for me as well. Absolutely fantastic! I just wish I wasn't another broke pool player, so I could afford one of his cues:(

just got my lomax jump cue today. it is incredible. my first jump with it was during a match where i was hooked half a ball with the ball hanging by the side pocket. i jumped and made the ball in the side and got position. then used a dart stroke to get over a close ball. the jump was really effortless and the cue ball really lifted off the table. lomax jump cues are the nuts. this jumps much better than my lucasi jump cue. great jump cue. $200 was a bit steep for me, but well worth the price.
only problem i have is i have to put it deep in my tube case. there isnt a joint protector that can hang the butt over my instroke tube.
i wanna see if steve can make one for me.

You can stuff small wads of paper towel in the tube until it's at the height you want.

Be careful not to try to shove too big a piece in at once. I had to use a 36" long 1/2" drill bit (That I just happen to have) to loosen things up when I got greedy. Maybe a well bent coat hanger would have done the trick, but fortunatley I didn't have to try it.

the nuts!
