Ok.. i have ask about this before, and have had some help but no solution yet,

I need to make some inserts from nylon for a few hubler replacement shafts.
now i have been told they are not worth it by some, and a few have tried to direct me to a few people that have them.
No luck yet. Paul Huebler says he will not sell me any parts .
so i guess i need to make them.
I have found some 1/2 threaded rod , is there different types or will this work. thread it in and center drill and tap for 5/16 18 pin ?

thanks to all that answer... Carl Shealy

he is hard to deal with i also tryed to buy things in the past and he was very gruchy he wanted 15.00 for a butt rubber i passed on the deal.

I've never been real fond of that nylon insert. Just too many problems. Easily cross-threads, difficult to impossible bonding, etc. It will soften the hit of a cue though if that's what you're looking for.

Offer your client an 'upgrade' to a brass insert at the same price and give him a guarantee that he will never have another problem in that area again. He may go for it & your life gets much easier. KJ

These are personal cues and i want to keep the original design,
thanks , carl

and thank you kevin
