shaft question

just bought two older mali off ebay.the one is a 3/8-10 and is 58" long.

the other is a 5/16-18 ss joint and is shorter by about a half an inch.

it's not much but it bothers me.

if i put a longer ferrule on will it change the way it plays or should i have a 29' shaft made for it?

the current ferrule length looks to be the length of the joss ferrules.

You could have a longer Meucci style ferrule installed...and you may love it...or you may not. If you REALLY love the cue...have a new custom shaft made. If not...try the longer ferrule...you can always flip it or have another shaft made later.

Is the shaft short Or is the butt short?...JER

Not to make this sound like a blonde joke, but.... did you check the bumpers as well? or just lay the shafts side by side?

the butt is ok.the shaft when laid next to my other shafts is short.
