Shaft spinner - good or bad?

I would be interested in seeing a video.

Ok here you go. This shaft has a bit of a warp to it which is not a problem because the hand holding the drill compensates for it sort of like a gyroscope. Cleaned, waxed and burnished. Use your favorite medium for this. I just use a paper towel. I finish sand my new shafts pretty much exactly like this. Easy to keep them consistently sanded as you're taking that last bit off with a little practice. I guess I could use one of my lathes but I like this because I can step outside with it and it's dust mess.

You can see why I like the 18 volt battery pack when I set the drill down with the shaft in it. Can't do that with the new smaller batteries without it tipping over.

Hope this helps https://youtu.be/MZO42dTAB80

This thread is starting to disappoint me. Didn't mean to kill it.

I expected blowback on how silly my drilly is.:frown:

"You can buy a nice shaft driver that will fit in your thread pitch and a drill for about 20 bucks."

where can you get the shaft driver? i have a 3/8x10 joint pin, a couple of searches aren't turning up anything pre-made like this.

Don't let the default shipping cost on the site scare you

In your checkout comments request US postal service shipping and Chris will adjust it before he ships it to you.
