shaft weights

Dave;
Why would you want to weight a shaft just for billiards?, I myself play with a cue that is 17 oz., without a rubber grip, 18 with one. 12mm tip slightly less than conic on the taper, and 56 inches in length. on a new heated table with brand new Simonis 300 cloth, 10 or 11 cushions is normal. Weighting a shaft is only going to make your shaft keep dipping down to the cloth. One of the most important things as to applying English in billiards is to follow straight thru.

I would use it on rail shots or in shooting over a ball, when I do want the cue to stay down.
