Where is the best place to buy quantities of straight grained shafts ready for final turning. I am looking for quality wood, no sugar marks, and dead straight. These will be going to Europe if that matters. Thank you!

When you say quantities, it might cause a problem.
Your choices are Cue Components, Cue Man Billiard Products, Cue Stock, and Prather.
I know I have very limited quantities of the third turn 16mm shafts and the #1 grade is usually sold before I get them turned. And what constitutes #1 or AAA grade varies with the companies.

I just bought some .750 dipped shaft cones from CC. There is a better price if you buy 20 or more. They are very nice.

First question, why buy finish size shafts in America then ship to Europe? Shipping something from one climate to another like 'finish size' shafts is just asking for a high amount of reject shafts once they are in country for any amount of time, IMO. Finish size has no room for any movement, and after a trans-atlantic trip, trust me, there will be movement! Whoever is on the receiving end in Europe is better off ordering maple boards and aclimating to their enviroment then machining their own shafts from those boards....much less waste and higher ratio of usable to non-usable shafts.
No supplier I am aware of would back their shafts (final size) in that kind of senario.
Just my thoughts,
Dave

Supply sources can be asked for, but all replies should be sent in the form of Private Messages. This protects our cuemakers supply sources from the general public. Almost no industry shares their wholesale sources with their customer base. So in fairness to our cuemakers we ask that this type of information be handled through Private Messages..

Hmmmm.....
