Shaft's stickiness

I have two shafts. One shaft gets more sticky than the other when it's humid. Any explanation? Thanks:)

to me wax makes it worse. I'm not a cuemaker, but I am fanatic about my shafts not being sticky.

Anymore I just burnish them with a old soft piece of leather and they stay pretty slick. Clean them once a year or so with a magic eraser and alcohol.

I agree and I'm also paranoid about how my shafts feel in my hands. I too have used wax (carnuba) and will only use the non-liquid type before. Since I found SlipStic, I never use any other product. Every new cue I receive gets the Slipstic treatment process that I have mastered. :)

Go and use Magic Eraser with Alcohol and remove that stuff. Lightly sand it with 1K+ sandpaper and barniss with leather.

hmm..i'll try that. Thanks :)

Clean with alcohol. Burnish w/leather or brown paper bag. If after this it's slightly rough then lightly sand with 1000 grit or finer, burnish w/leather or brown paper bag. Use nothing on it. Anything you use will get sticky.
