Shane calls Efren out at the DCC

I think he wanted to play Efren for about that much. Let's keep in mind that he's going even up and was thinking to have a little left just in case. This isn't a great game for anybody and I think that we could all agree that there isn't a pool player alive that Efren doesn't have the ability to beat. Shane has heart and a great game. I hope it happens, would be an exciting match with two great players. I just think Shane was airing to the side of cation so he's not broke with a loss. The Action Report should be commended for thier efforts at the event and thier coverage of the action table is great. I know that if the match comes together, they will try to be on that table and we all can watch. Wish I was there.

Shane should ask for weight. I bet he would get it. Not sure if he would need it or not, but if you look at the situation as a whole; Shane has nothing to lose. He is a player new to being on top and he is at a whole new level in his game. If he wins he accomplished what not many could do. If he loses he is just anoher player that got put in his place (he wasnt expected to win). Efren; isnt supposed to lose. He is one of the best champs ever, if he lost giving weight then he lost cause he spotted him but if he gets beat heads up then. Did he lose his crown? He has a lot more face to lose in this match then Shane does.

I don't think Efren is the favorite. yeah I know, I'm an SVB "fanboy", whatever. I'll take Shane for 100, first PM gets my bet.

I'm not saying Shane is some kind of big favorite, I just think he can win at that game if he plays well.
 
i dunno about 9-ball/ 10-ball, i think it might be a tossup.

any other game (8ball, 1pkt, rotation, banks) i'd have to say efren is a clear favorite.

What ever:confused: :confused: there is plenty of $$$ here for anyone to play anyone, nobody is trying to get pumped up to step up, at that level things dont work like that this is the big leagues not $5 pool.

yea the top money leader on the board needs to build a roll dumbest thing ive ever heard.....and wait i just won 15k but my roll isnt big enough what are they tryin to do a million dollar 10 ball race....?i think SVB has plenty of $ and if he didnt somebody with alot would steak him

I wasn't saying it was epic because of the money, although if it didnt mean anything, then why not just play to see who is better for funsies. I was saying it was epic because we get to see one of the hottest players in the world play a living legend. I know that you are in the thick of it as far as world class action goes, but pool players aren't any different than any other athletes, other than they make less. So what do you see before a basketball or football game? Players getting pumped up in a huddle at the highest level there is. So although acting non-chalant about it makes one look cool, I doubt that the players who are actually in the action have such a disposition, even if on the surface it seems so.
 
EFREN, beyond a doubt, is the best pool player in the world but he can't get there playing the KID a LONG 10 ball (winner break) session.
 
I would love to see those two play in person.

The public forum was in an interview on the live streaming video after his match with cliff. Id say that is pretty public. And it wasn't woofing, and shane said it simply and with respect, but just that he wants to play efren. I believe anytime a player says aanother players name in an interview, regarding wanting to play them, that IS calling them out. I have never heard that term used any other way.
 
in money matches losing 1 game does not mean the challenger is the new king.

SVB is not gonna run him over like some here think. It was reported here he won a 10ball match against Lee Van and regularly jousts with Ronnie playing rotation and i think he is ahead on Ronnie the multiple times they've played.

Well I would be surprised if SVB played Efren EVEN in one pocket and rotation.
It is inevitable that Shane and Efren will someday meet. But the thing for a guy like Efren to do is to maximize the earning potential. I know the public wants it but will they pay for it. Its one thing to say "lets get it on". But why should someone like Efren do it. He has nothing to prove. What is he going to make by providing you with that entertainment. He doesnt need to satisfy his ego.
Will you pay $100 for PPV to guarantee Efren with at least a $50,000 guarantee? Why should he play SVB. What reason? 10K or 20K is nothing to what Efren can make somewhere else. An Arab oil Prince would be willing to give him that just to show up at his house to play him a few sets of 9 ball.
Shane will get a valuable lesson. What will Efren get out of playing Shane 10 ball?

I'll take your bet Alex... Let's make it known in the thread so nobody can try to air anyone. Sound fair? Pay up by money order or paypal at the end... Send Priority mail with tracking or paypal within 3 days? Anyone else wanna make a bet? I'm taking Efren.... What if they play two sets? It's possible but race to 25 is long. Do we make a two set bet if two is played?
